Dr. Angela Donaruma

Owner & Veterinarian

Dr. Angela Donaruma founded Houston Mobile Veterinary Clinic with a vision of delivering exceptional veterinary care in a calmer, more personal way. A Houston native, she graduated from St. John’s High School in 1996, earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2000, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She has been practicing companion animal general medicine and surgery in Houston since graduation.

Dr. Donaruma has special interests in dentistry, pain management, and geriatric medicine. She studied with Dr. Bret Beckman, a board-certified veterinary dental specialist in Florida, where she expanded her knowledge of dental health, radiology, and oral surgery. Her passion for pain management stems from a firm belief that no living being should remain in pain if it can be prevented or treated. She has a particular fondness for senior pets and believes that age itself is not a disease. Many signs often attributed to “getting old” can be improved with proactive and attentive care. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is hearing families say that their older pets are acting like puppies again or returning to their affectionate, playful selves.

The inspiration for Houston Mobile Veterinary Clinic came directly from client requests. Many families needed a more accessible and less stressful way to receive care for their pets. Some pets struggled with mobility, others experienced severe anxiety during travel, and some families simply needed a more convenient solution. Dr. Donaruma discovered that she not only enjoyed making house calls but also found deep satisfaction in the relief and comfort it provided. What began as a response to client needs has grown into a fully equipped mobile practice built on trust, gratitude, and long-standing relationships.
